This, the 2024 Peter Jaffe Lecture on Ending Domestic Violence, is being organised by the Centre for Research & Education on Violence Against Women & Children.
In 1986, Peter Jaffe with colleagues authored a seminal analysis of children’s experiences of living with domestic violence. More than 30 years later, questions surface as to how successful research, policy and practice in this area has been? Have these children been failed? What would be the hallmarks of success?
Prof. Cathy Humphreys' (University of Melbourne, Safer Families Centre, and MAEVe) lecture raises the above questions, exploring both the hurdles to and the facilitators of action to respond to children and young people living with domestic violence, as well as charting a path for the future.
Closed captioning will be available for the online audience.
